"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."
— 2 Timothy 3:16–17Our Core Beliefs
The Historic Christian Faith
Lakeview Bible Church holds to the historic Christian faith as revealed in the Holy Scriptures. We are not bound to any particular denominational tradition, but we embrace the foundational doctrines that have been confessed by faithful believers throughout church history.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It is the final authority in all matters of faith and life. Both the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit and are without error in the original manuscripts.
The Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — each fully God, equal in nature, power, and glory, yet distinct in person and role.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the full deity and true humanity of Jesus Christ. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Salvation by Grace
We believe that salvation is entirely by God's grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. It is not by works or human merit. All who repent and believe the gospel receive forgiveness of sins, eternal life, and the Holy Spirit.
The Resurrection
We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day. His resurrection is the guarantee of our own resurrection and the proof that God accepted His sacrifice on our behalf.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer at the moment of salvation, empowering them to live a godly life, understand Scripture, and bear fruit for God's glory.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers. The local church is called to worship God, preach the Gospel, make disciples, observe baptism and the Lord's Supper, and care for one another in love.
The Return of Christ
We believe in the personal, bodily, and visible return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom and judge the living and the dead. Every person will give account to God.
