Operation Christmas Child

Our Annual Ministry

Sharing the Gospel Through a Simple Gift

Each year, Lakeview Bible Church joins thousands of churches around the world in packing shoeboxes for children in need through Samaritan's Purse's Operation Christmas Child.

These simple shoeboxes are filled with small toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and a personal note of love — and most importantly, each box includes the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered over 220 million shoebox gifts to children in more than 100 countries, many of whom have never received a gift before.

How It Works

Pack a Box in 4 Simple Steps

1

Grab a Shoebox

Pick up an empty shoebox from the welcome table on any Sunday, or use a standard shoebox from home. Wrap the box and lid separately in Christmas paper (optional).

2

Choose an Age Group

Decide whether you're packing for a boy or girl and select an age range: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14. Mark the label clearly so the right child receives your box.

3

Fill It with Gifts

Include small toys, hygiene items (toothbrush, soap, washcloth), school supplies (crayons, pencils, notebook), and a fun item like a ball or stuffed animal. Include a personal note!

4

Bring It to Church

Drop off your packed shoebox at church by Collection Sunday in November, along with a $10 shipping donation. We'll take care of delivering all the boxes together!
