"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
— Matthew 11:28Common Questions
What to Expect
Come as you are — there is no dress code at Lakeview Bible Church. Some people wear jeans, some wear their Sunday best. What matters is that you come. You will feel completely comfortable whatever you wear.
Free parking is available in the lot off US HWY 2 South. The main entrance faces the highway. If the main lot is full, street parking is available along the road in front of the church.
Doors open about 15 minutes before each service. Arriving a few minutes early gives you time to find a seat and meet some folks. Sunday School begins at 9:30 am, Coffee Fellowship at 10:15 am, and Worship at 10:30 am.
Our worship service typically runs about 75 minutes. We sing hymns and worship songs, pray together, and hear a verse-by-verse expository sermon from the Bible. Communion is observed on the first Sunday of every month — all who have trusted in Jesus Christ are welcome to participate.
Children are welcome in the main service — we love when families worship together. Sunday School for all ages is held at 9:30 am before the main service. Speak with a greeter when you arrive and they will point you in the right direction.
A greeter will welcome you at the door. Feel free to introduce yourself or remain anonymous — whichever makes you comfortable. Help yourself to coffee during the Fellowship time at 10:15 am. No one will put you on the spot or ask you to stand up.
Our pastor typically preaches from the English Standard Version (ESV). We encourage you to bring your own Bible, or a printed bulletin with the passage is available each Sunday.
An offering plate is passed during the service. As a visitor, you are absolutely not expected to give. The offering is for members and regular attenders who wish to support the ministry.
Any of our greeters or ushers would be happy to help. You can also reach us through the Contact page or email us at info@lakeviewbiblecares.org.
